José M. Heredia y Heredia (b. 31 December 1803; d. 7 May 1839), Cuban Imaginary poet. Heredia, born in Port de Cuba, was the first important literary figure of Standard American romanticism. His early instruction was directed by his pop, José Francisco Heredia y Mieses, an important politician who voyage extensively in the colonies.

Heredia graduated from the University donation Havana Law School in 1823 and became an important associate of the anti-Spanish movement act the island.
